14. Major Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov – Metal Gear Solid 3
This is an interesting one, and one that is up for much debate, but if you look close at the details you’ll see why this guy is gayer than a goose. First off, he is almost identical to Raiden, who’s own sexual preference is under raging debate on the Internet. (I won’t even go into the name Solid Snake right now) so in a way he is Raidens’ alter Ego, a parody of Raiden, if you will. Then there’s his relationship with Colonel Volgin…at one point, our hero Solid Snake is disguised as Raikov. Volgin grabs Snakes’ crotch twice, thus revealing the charade. Volgin then exclaims “I know the Major better than anyone else.”
Then, in the online mode of Subsistence, you can play Raikov, who’s special move is a massive crotch grab that renders his opponent stunned. And of course, who could overlook his very feminine looks, voice and fighting style. Because of his military career, his true sexuality is on a don’t ask, don’t tell basis, but all the clues add up to GAY

Reader Matt W. adds this: The coolest thing about Raikov… his homosexuality is actually a special ability. He is “immune” to the heterosexual pornography that can be used to stun other players into a lustful mind-freeze. This effectively makes MGS3 the only game where being gay is a super power.

In the scene where you strip the Major down to his black underwear after taking him out, you can see that he has a yellow lightning bolt symbol monogrammed on them.

It’s actually not Solid Snake who got his crotch grabbed. It was Naked Snake (which sounds even gayer to me), aka Big Boss, Solid Snake’s “genetic” father.
and if you do some wikipedia research on this character, you notice that his name "Raikov" is translated to "Thunderbolt's bitch." Or something like that. Which is a huge giveaway that Raikov is indeed gay. I already knew he was gay from what I heard from MGS3 fans. Also, I remember hearing his voice the first time when I followed him into the library. He was hiding within the bookshelves and I accidentally bumped into him. His voice cracked me up.
