Castlevania Animation In The Works
Our favored long running vampire melodrama is finally being animated, no I’m not talking about Buffy. I’m talking Castlevania! It’s true, Project 51 is in charge of animating the Belmont saga.
Here’s what Eric Gardner, Project 51 representative, had to say:
“Project 51’s plans include theatrical features, direct-to-video longforms and a television series, as well as original content for wireless and an extensive merchandising operation.”
Project 51 is currently conducting meetings to work out a release strategy, but it sounds like they will release the DVD longform first, then the animated series, then the feature film.
If you thirst for more blood thirsty Belmonts, Paul W.S. Anderson is directing and writing the upcoming film adaptation of Castlevania. Let’s hope it doesn’t suck.
