Contact's English Site Is Up

Horray! I’ve been eagerly anticipating Contact for the DS. The game looks quirky and fun in a similar way to Earthbound(Mother 2), one of my absolute favorite games of the 16-bit era.
In Contact you act as a liaison between a pixilated professor stuck in a lab and a young boy Terry. The professor offers you, the player, advice on what to tell Terry. While Terry is tracking down an alien spaceship that crashed on his island at the start of the game.
Contact is an a-typical RPG, with a great sense of humor and an interesting art style. The top screen is presented as an 8-bit pixilated game, where the bottom has a decidedly realistic style. Most of your interactions with Terry will be through the stylus. There are no menus to get in you way during combat, you just tap your way to victory.
The game looks great and it’s Wi-Fi compatible. You can have up to eight friends join you on Wi-Fi island. You can get new items and open new doors and skills on Wi-Fi island.
Sound fun? Well, it’s just about the only thing that will tide me over until an English localization of Mother 3.

Ooooh yeah. With all the new information circulating around the net about the next generation of systems, games like this one can so easily fall off radar.
Certainly I’ll have to keep a closer eye on it. ^^
