DOA: Yet Another Crappy Game Movie

Just when you thought Uwe Boll was the only one who could really ruin a video game based film, Director Corey Yuen brings us this sure-to-be-a-turd-on-a-plate feature based on the wildly popular T&A fighting series Dead or Alive. I love Dead or Alive, even though it lacks the controlled finesse and mind-boggling array of special moves as Soul Calibur, it does have some great power move effects and destructible backgrounds, which is a personal favorite of mine. It is also jam packed with some truly amazing scenery. I wish the same could be said for the movie. The screen shots I’ve seen so far look like a cheap home made porn film, with costumes lifted from the local Goodwill donation station. The only thing good I can see is that it includes the actress who played the foxy Miho (seen on the far left) in Sin City. I might be gay, but I LOVE me some hot ass-kicking Asian chicks, including Miho, and of course the ultimate killer, GoGo from Kill Bill. But sadly, even she wouldn’t be enough to make me part with my hard earned $8.50 to see what will surely rival Mr. Boll’s most, shall we say, “aromatic” features. And is it just me, or do the girls in this picture look like they were cut out with safety scissors and glue sticked onto the photo? Also, with all those swords and dead guys…where’s the BLOOD!
