Ellen: Everyone's Favorite Lesbian Master Chief
Master Chief never looked so good!
I’m sure you are looking for some explanation for this bizarre and hilarious photo. A thread was started in our forums about which video game characters would turn the gaming world on it’s ear if they were revealed to be gay. There are a lot of great suggestions ranging from Solid Snake (I just can’t get past that name!) to Sephiroth. But one clever reader, Shin Gallon, playing off the revealing of Samus at the end of the original Metroid, suggested that perhaps at the end of the Halo movie, that Master Chief would remove his helmet to reveal…Ellen Degeneres! The thought sparked a lot of laughs and comments and then our own Alexander put out the call:
“Whoever can get us an image of Ellen as the Master Chief we’ll come up with something neat to do for you. One rule is that the image must look like Ellen is the Master Chief”
I hadn’t seen this post as I had been down with a nasty case of food poisoning, so imagine my surprise to find this photo in my email this morning giving me a great laugh at an hour of the morning when no sane person should be awake. (which explains why I was awake.)
So there you have it, Ellen IS Master Chief! Thanks to the one who started it all AND provided the visual, Shin Gallon.
