Fatal1ty: Hot or Not?
It’s 5 p.m. on the East Coast, I’ve had some ridiculously bad press releases today like this
and this one, which didn’t even work. Anyway, Johnathan “Fatal1ity” Wendel had the repeat of his 60 Minutes piece last week, he’s been in Time Magazine , Business Week and American Way Magazine (American Way Magazine? I don’t know either, but that’s where I got the photo from).
What’s so surprising is that for a guy that makes a lot of money off playing games and should be something, other than the mainstream press tapping him when they need to seem young and fresh, he really doesn’t seem to come up.
But this isn’t about the mainstream press, this is about us and what do we think about this guy? I mean, the photo at right is the best one I could find and I’ve really never seen a thread about him on any gay gaming message board. To paraphrase Samantha from Sex and the City, “First come the gays, then come the girls and then everyone else.” Is the guy good enough to get past stage one?

toots is right.. in every pic I’ve seen, he has this wannabe-macho serious look on his face that’s a turnoff. It’s just a smidge short of a sneer. :|
No thanks…not my type at all. Seems pretty full of himself too. The moderated homophobic expletive laden stalking comment was posted from an IP address in Kansas City where the guy is reported to live. If he’s making that kind of cash and garnering mainstream media attention, what does he care if gay gamers discuss him? If that comment was indeed from him…get over yourself, Johnathan.
He has potential. If you let me give him a make over, He would be HOT, HOT, HOT. I’d send him to the Fab 5 and make them do all the work and maybe you can get him to lift some heavier weights to get his arms all buff since that’s what we see on him most often. Then he can shoot his big game guns using his real ones and I guarntee all the girls will be drooling and some of the guys too.
