Philips' amBX Technology Lets Games Reach Out and Touch Us

Philips has developed a technology called, amBX, which is set to completely immerse the viewer in whatever they are watching…or playing.

Imagine, you experience in your room what the character on-screen is experiencing. Through various add-ons/peripherals, you can feel the wind, see the light and hear the sounds just the way your digital counterpart is. Sounds pretty damned exciting! However, there is no telling how something like this will take with the general public. No doubt, hardcore gamers would go gaga over it.

According to blogsite, CrunchGear, developer THQ has already been signed on to develop amBX compatible games.
