Psychonauts To Be Backwards Compatible

Fans of Tim Shaffer’s Psychonauts should sleep well tonight. Alan Stuart, of Microsoft’s Backwards Compatibility team, has reported that Psychonauts is being worked on and is almost ready to ship.

Psychonauts is a fantastic platformer, chocked full of exuberant characters and imaginative level design. It was reviewed well, but didn’t sell as well as expected. I hope that anyone who owns a 360, and missed out on playing this on Xbox, will pick this gem up.

Thanks to Aeropause for the good news.

I have it for PC, but the more people who play this great game the better.

One of the big reasons I haven’t bought a 360 is because it was not BC with this game. It’s great that it’s finally getting done, but where’s Otogi 1/2, workable Ninja Gaiden, Stranger’s Wrath or Phantom Dust?

I guess I’m just being a picky bitch, but not everyone owned an xbox over this past generation. I think MS dropped the ball on a shit-ton of potential new customers by half-assing BC.

I guess I’ll just go back to playing Psychonauts of my big, ugly xbox1 and wait for a 360 price drop (let alone a game worth playing that isn’t dead rising or geometry wars).

Other than that… YAAAY!

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
