Vintage Game Ads

Pop Cult Scan Fun posted, a few days ago, these two vintage game ads, crica 1984. One, as you can see, is for Joust on the Atari 2600 and 5200. “You don’t play it…you live it!”

The other is He-Man: Masters of the Universe, for the ‘Intellivision with Supergraphics,’ as well as for the 2600. You will note that the “high-end” screenshots for He-Man are for the Intellivision. I think the graphics need to be tightened up a bit, they should’ve gone to Westwood College. ;-p

The ads are by 1984-era hardboiled DC detective comic, Nathaniel Dusk. Mmmm retro…. Larger versions of the ads, after the jump.

By the way, be sure to check out some hilarious He-Man footage. We found it deep in his closet. Click here.
