Wii Hear You

The latest Wii rumor all but solidifies the Nintendo console’s place as the weird, nose-picking little sister of the next-gen three: voice recognition. As if waving your wand around like you just don’t care (and let’s face it, you better not) wasn’t gonna be strange enough to get used to, Engadget reports on a feature that, supposedly:
...converts speech to text that can be sent to other players, even detecting the tone, pitch, and volume of your voice and adjusting the font size and color accordingly…[and]...will employ wireless head-mounted microphones…
Not surprisingly, the rumor also suggests that there may be some voice-related Wii/DS interaction going on in some way, somehow. Is any of this true? Who knows, but it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise Reggie Fils-Aime has pulled out of his pants, would it? (Leave it be, Tiny, leave it be…) Welcome to the dollhouse, bois and grrrls.
Thanks to Engadget for the hearsay and the pretty picture.

The Wii/DS interaction was confirmed a few months ago I thought.
