Wikipedia "Gaymer"

As we continue to debate the merits of the term “gaymer” on our forum, it is worth noting that somebody went through the trouble of putting it up on Wikipedia.
Because of the growing social acceptance of both gamers and homosexuals, there began to be more people who identified themselves as both, despite the common misconception that both lifestyles do not go together. Stereotyping of gamers being almost always straight and homosexuals having no interest in videogames remains a common barrier in either field’s advancement.
Then the article goes into the gay gamer survey conducted earlier this year, which received a sample of over 10,000 participants and is now closed. Jason Rockwood, who was conducting the research should be releasing preliminary data in the relative future.
It’s also worth mentioning, “This article was nominated for deletion on 8/8/2006. The result of the discussion was no consensus.”
