8-bit: New Game Documentary
Justin Strawhand’s new documentary 8-bit: A Documentary about Art and Videogames will premier on October 7th at The Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan.
8-bit was filmed in NYC, LA, Paris and Tokyo, to give a cross cultural perspective on the influences of the generations weaned on Atari and Commodore 64.

A mélange of a documentary, art expose and a culture-critical investigation, 8 BIT ties together seemingly disconnected phenomena like the 80’s demo scene, chiptune music and contemporary artists using machinima and modified games.
