Dragon Con Celebrity Cavalcade or Fruit Brute Falls Into A Pop Culture K-Hole

Super Timsy and I took advantage of the fact that everyone was at the costume parade and made a quick path to the “Walk of Fame” where all the stars were out selling photos and signing autographs and hob-nobbing with all the nerds and obsessed fans. Lee Meriweather was there looking classy as all hell and Yvonne Craig was there, but not when I was unfortunately.

The room was practically empty, so we really got a chance to chat with some of the people we saw. Some of the highlights for me were talking with Adrienne Barbeau (she gave me a free autographed copy of her book!) , George Takei, Captain Lou Albano, and Denise Crosby.

The real jewel in the crown of this whole experience was meeting the cast of Sigmund and the Sea Monsters including Johnny Whitaker (Family Affair), Scott Kolden (Scottie on the show), Walker Edmiston (the voice of Sigmund) and of course the absolutely amazing and hilarious Rip Taylor. I spoke with them all for quite a while and they were all so nice and supportive of GG as you can see from their signatures. And as an added Krofft bonus, I got to meet Kathy Coleman, the blond, pigtailed “Holly” from Land of The Lost. At this point, poor Timsy had to get the smelling salts as I fairly passed out right in front of everyone.

I will be writing about this all in more detail later with pictures. It is really impossible to recount how special this experience was, but for me it was the best part of the entire Con.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
