I Love The Smell Of Propaganda In The Morning
Don’t you just love Election Season? It’s always fun to watch the advertisements for hopeful politicians start out talking about what wonderful, wholesome, and family-oriented people they are. Then they quickly evolve into messages spreading fear and ignorance shortly before they start dragging embarrassing skeletons out of their opponents’ (ahem) closets. Now that violent video games are the new gay marriages in terms of political controversy, it seems that more than a few TV ads are going to focus on parents’ ignorance and hopefully scare some votes out of them.
Yesterday, Kotaku and the always excellent Game Politics brought us Ed Perlmutter’s nonsensical gibberish from Colorado. Today, we have fear-mongering from Mark Taylor, the Lieutenant Governor of Georgia. One word of advice, Mark: the internet isn’t evil. It’s just a series of tubes.

WILL SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN???
I would vote for a politician that bans poltical adverts.
Pornographic video games? I don’t know where Mark Taylor shops, but I’m guessing that it’s probably not EB/Gamestop.
Hard to protect your kids on the internet?
Here’s a thought. Don’t let them sit unsupervised in front of a screen all goddamn day.
