London's Science Museum to Host Video Game Exhibit

On October 21, The London Science Museum will play host to a large exhibit dedicated to the rich history of video games. The exhibit will display over 120 playable games, including the world’s first computer game, Space War (1962) and the computer that ran it, PDP-1. Drawings by Shigeru Miyamoto, just to name one, will be on display among other countless items that have importance to gaming as we know it today.

“Nowhere else will people be able to see the entire history of the games industry laid out, explained and ready to play,” he [Gaetan Lee, program developer at the Science Museum] said.

Game On will be at the London Science Museum between October 21, 2006 and February 25, 2007. I should also note that the exhibit is being sponsored, in part, by Nintendo.
