Nintendo 64 turns 10

I know we are all looking forward to the Wii, but let’s look back to the early days of 3D console gaming with the N64. September 29th marks the 10 year anniversary of the Nintendo 64. Has it really been that long? It seems like just yesterday I walked into Toys R Us and saw Mario 64 for the first time. It was so amazing, the graphics were so smooth, and the control was so tight, just what we would expect from our favorite plumber. Well 10 years have passed, and Gameworld Network has a great article on the history of the last cartridge based console system, and how Nintendo fought the CD revolution with Sony.

The N64 had alotta of bad games but the few good games it had are pretty much some of the best of all time. SSB, Ocarina of Time, Mario64, Mario Kart64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Starfox64 and Pokemon Snap all friggin rocked.
