Rockstar's Bully To Get A Teen Rating

I am proud of Rockstar Studios for producing a game that has stirred up this much controversy surrounding a title that received a Teen rating. It just shows Rockstar’s dedication to providing quality content that provokes the public to address their opinions on violence and the media. From what I’ve read, Bully breaks all of the rules of the Grand Theft Auto Series. You don’t kill people in this game, it’s a game about asserting dominance over your classmates. It’s concerning violence in adolescents, which is a touchy subject, but they are dealing with it in a manner to progress the plot in the game.
Bully has of course been influenced by violence in the schools, shown on various media. Games are just another media to reflect the opinions on the artists behind the game, concerning their surroundings. My impression is that they are one of the only studios to tackle school yard dominance with an informed eye. Rockstar understands the way violence affects the public. Grand Theft Auto incensed so much of the general populace with concerns of video game violence and it’s affect on children. The gaming critics adversely have made the point to applaud the game for it’s open ended gameplay, which basically invented the sandbox genre overnight. I am of course fascinated to see what Jack Thompson says about this game once it hits the shelves with a Teen rating.
