Would Wii Make You Sell Your Xbox 360?
Andrew McDonald returned to blogging about a month ago at Bravehound after a bit of a hiatus. His blogging is a bit inconsistent – but his photos make it all worth it.
Considering the news cycle will be devoured by Wii news for the next week, figured I’d ask the question: Have you been happy with your Xbox 360 purchase?
McDonald writes:
I’m selling my xbox 360. I remember being so exicited for this sucka to come out. It was my first non-Nintendo console… does that make it a Nontendo?... anyhow, it made me think about my interests in gaming. Now more than ever, pretty graphics just aren’t enough for me. The 360 has been out for almost a year, and I still don’t see any must-have titles on the horizon. Sure, you could argue for Halo 3… but most first person shooters are always 10 times as fun on a PC. The 360 lineup just leaves so much to be desired for me. Action, adventure and old-fashioned non-MMO RPGs are where it’s at for me on console systems. In my eyes, the 360 doesn’t deliver.
It sounds like Andrew is becoming a well adjusted gay adult, as most of us realize with age, it’s not just about the pretty, there has to be good “gameplay” as well.

I’m officially declaring that Andrew McDonald is the new hotness.
I have to respectfully and hotfully differ with him that the 360’s offerings are completely limited. Semi limited yes, but that is changing. There are more and more casual games on the horizon for Xbox Live as well. I’m surprised by his comments as I’ve had my 360 for a few months and have been very pleasantly surprised by how much time I spend using it, even down to the media center extender capabilities.
It does sound like more and more people are making the (what I’m coining) Nintendo epiphany—that gameplay and fun ultimately rule out pretty and tired.
I don’t really care what system he uses, as long as I get to be the controller. He can push my buttons, pull my triggers, and flick my thumbstick anytime he wants. (Thats 3 sexual inuendo’s in one sentence, top that!)
He’s totaly goddamn right about the shooters…

I find it quite humorous that in the same post that comments about “pretty” not being everything…you add a gratuitous photo to show how pretty the man is!
Not that I mind. I have NO problems mixing drop-dead hot men with my gaming news and commentary!
It just goes to show that pretty DOES matter. Luckily the Wii will still be pretty darn pretty in the end.
I LOOVE my 360 I’m a big online player and a bigger graphics whore lol.. I guess it’s what your particular tastes in games are… Me I like racers, fighters, shoots and action/adventure. Not into RPG’s (although Mass Effect will be my first) The lineup is stellar maybe you just give it a chance it’s only been 10 months. I don’t remember too many must have titles for any system within the first year of launch. PS2 didn’t have 1 until GTA (18 months later) don’t now much about nintendo I sadly left them in the 80’s
