Bully Has Gay Content! or Is Little Jimmy A Homo?
Funny enough, just yesterday I was discussing with some co-workers whether or not there would be any gay content in Bully given that they seem to have covered a lot of the different factions of students that appear in daily school life. Well, bust my buttons if Kotaku’s resident dastardly dandy, Florian Eckhardt didn’t turn up evidence that there actually is at least a modicum of gay content in Bully.
Gamebrink has published one of the first reviews of Bully and it’s a glowing one. According to the writer (known only as “Gamer”) Bully has “one of most polished stories ever presented in a video game” and graphics “so expertly crafted it’s a wonder to behold”. He gives the game a 92 out of 100 which is pretty impressive. But, the paragraph that made our eyebrows raise was this one.
“I think my favorite activity outside of the main story was getting together with both girls and boys. You see the only controversy likely to have any basis in reality is the fact that you can kiss both girls and some boys. Well that and the fact that you don’t need to go to school for too long to learn everything. Not only that but if you practice at it you can actually get HP back just by smooching. Call it the teen version of GTA’s hookers.”
It will be very interesting to see if this actually plays out into the story of the game, or if it’s just a more of “boy kissing mini game”. I was on the fence about whether to pick this title up right away, or wait a bit, but I think in the interest of discovering how “gay” the game actually gets, I will endeavor to pick it up today. I will report back to you with news as soon as possible, hopefully with some boy smooching screengrabs.
Wow! I made it through a whole Bully article without mentioning Jack Thompso… Dammit!

See, I’m just of the opinion I wouldn’t even really want to see screenshots of, assumedly (although surely the game wouldn’t be published if it were), boykissing of students who are under the age of consent, even though they aren’t having sex.
Would like to hear impressions from you once the game is out. I’ve found that Rockstar games as a whole have some good designs and concepts, but ultimately unplayable controls.
I wasn’t looking forward to this game, but with all the good press it’s been getting I’m tempted to check it out.
What good is a story about high school, be it book or movie or game, that doesn’t deal with the emotional hot-button of adolescent sexuality? If you can kiss boys as well as girls, isn’t that just more authentic? Takes me right back to prom…

Age of consent doesn’t matter if both participants are the same age, if I recall correctly. May vary from state to state.
So, all we have to do now is wait for a “Hot Milk” mod..
But the good thing is, that this isnt like officially advertised! So maybe parents and kids wont know this :D and even if they do its only cos kid/gamer tried it out. besides they are only polygons with different textures so it basically doesnt matter in game AI is it girl or boy
