Genki Gang Hats: Wear a 1-UP
Have you ever envied Toad for his amazing fashion sense, wished you had a moogle’s stately pompom, or fantasized about gutting one of those annoying jumping cheep cheeps and wearing it on your head? Well then there’s a site out there dedicated to making all your dreams come true. Lindze Merritt over at Genki Gang has made quite the business for herself, custom making incredibly cute hats based off animals and characters from anime and video games. As several of the inspirations for these hats come from copyrighted personalities, some of the hats have cunningly untrademarked names, like “Mushroom Toad,” “Electric Mouse,” or “Chirp Fish.” Dodging the legal bullet, however, doesn’t make her work any less recognizable or impressive!
