Kingdom Hearts Formation Arts Series 2

Fliping through the new issue of Game Informer today made me a lot more impressed with my local anime store. Occupying the spots for the 16th and 17th on the magazine’s monthly connect calendar are three figures from the Kingdom Hearts Formation Arts Series II (Goofy, Cloud, and Kairi). What surprised me was that the black-and-white version of Cloud that I picked up on a whim (and at random since it was in a box) a month ago was anything special.

So, unless you’ve already bumbled across them at an import shop, Kingdom Hearts Formation Arts Series II figures release in the U.S. in the next few weeks. Around 6 inches tall, the set includes Goofy, Jafar, Kairi, Oogie Boogie, a svelte looking Ansem (with giant demon), and a bat-winged Cloud. Alternate black and white repaints of all the figures vary in coolness on a figure-to-figure basis (kind of pointless on Kairi; looks hardcore on Cloud). If you can’t wait for the U.S. release, you can probably find a few importers selling these now around the web.

Aside from the promo image here, I was able to scrounge up a few other pictures and leads from around the net (which you can see after the jump).

Doing a Google image search brings up a few mini teaser images, but Siloconera has a more legit black and white preview about half way down the page here. If anyone knows were larger images of these figures might live, please drop us a link!

The Ansem one is awesome, I have the monochrome version. Wish I’d gotten Cloud too, but it just gets too expensive to buy more in the hope you’ll get what you want.. Hello eBay!

Having said all that, they’re SUCH a bitch to put together sometimes.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
