Mommy, The PS3 Baby Is Crying. Make It Stop!
Recently, Sony unveiled one it their new Playstation 3 commercials on National Television, and it’s rather disturbing. The commercial shows a Playstation 3 in a white room, making a baby cry. It’s kinda creepy, pretty disturbing, and doesn’t hold a candle to the preivous PS3 white room ads. I don’t understand the reasoning behind this ad.
Why would making a baby cry be considered a good thing, and something that makes PS3 look better than the competitors? I don’t get it, but I imagine there is some marketing guru standing on the highest pedestal of Mt. Olympus laughing maniacally at all of us who doesn’t understand his stroke of genius advertising.

Yeah, I think you got it. It even comes with its own “The wii is for babies and the ps3 makes babies cry!@@!!” talking point.
omfg that’s just scary.

Was that bit near the end meant to be the ps3 symbol?
They’re trying so hard to be original they forgot to make it readable.
that symbol was the release date
its a very modern, minimalist pop surrealist piece of work.the baby becomes aware of its mother, tries to reach out, tries to communicate, cries, and then learns. it could be read as slightly insulting to the consumer as if saying ” okay little baby your finally ready”. However, its well thought out, beautifuly shot and beautiful nontheless.
It seems to be Sony’s take on the idea of a jingle- It’ll stick in your head, if only out of the sheer creepiness of the infantile Chucky doll.
...The fanwank from both sides on youtube is pretty stellar.
