New Level-5 Adventure Game For DS
Level-5 announced their new adventure game for the Nintendo DS called Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village. The game combines a fantasy setting with puzzle solving gameplay, which has become quite popular on the DS.
Layton was announced in Tokyo earlier today, the game stars Professor Reiton(Layton) an English fellow, and Luke the schoolboy. The game looks like a cross between Triplets of Bellville and Oliver Twist. The game is being produced by Akihiro Hino who also worked on Dragon Quest VIII and the Dark Cloud series. Akira Tago will be supervising the production of Layton, who is an author of popular brain game books in Japan.
Details of the gameplay is scarce, but the game is set to release in Japan on the 15th of February 2007. Until then you can check out the Japanese site for screenshots and to check out that beautiful art style.
