Phoenix Wright II: Already Available In English

Hear ye, hear ye, court is back in session. May it please the court, I would like to present the following evidence:
Exhibit A: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All is already available in Japan.
Exhibit B: Justice For All, while a Japanese game, has selectable languages of English and Japanese.
Exhibit C: This title has no region protection and is on sale at Play-Asia.com
I present this evidence to you, the jury, because the US version of the game isn’t due out until sometime next year. However, if you’re willing to import the game now you won’t be forced to scramble for an immensely-limited supply (which is what happened this year with the first Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney). Granted, I have no idea how good the translation to English is for the game, but I suspect it’s decent enough that players won’t feel lost or frustrated when they play.
Verdict: with less than $5 in shipping costs to the US, why aren’t you ordering this now?
Order Phoenix Wright II here

The English translation in the original Japanese Phoenix Wright was the same one used in the US version. It was one of the best localizations I’ve read in a game. My Phoenix Wright II is on its way from play-asia. It’s only 29 bucks. No reason not to get it now.
Wow – great find. For someone like myself who is learning Japanese, I can’t think of a better choice. Plus I get the game a year early!
[ * Obligitory “the US version comes with an extra case or two” post here * ]
They found out that the US version, in fact, does NOT get an extra case or two. It was a mistranslation of the interview. I believe if you go to the site that had the interview in the first place, they say that.
As much as I want to order the Japanese version, I’m going to wait for the American release.
The Ace Attorney series needs every NA sale it can get if we want the third and forth game in the series to come out here. The main reason they ported the series to the DS was to sell to the American market. There would be no English option in the Japanese version if not for the planned U.S. release.
So I hope people are keeping this in mind. It would be sad if we were denied future games due to poor American sales.
uh….yeah… what Anon said!
I ordered mine almost a month ago, and am patiently waiting. Not that it will do me any good, because my DS has a broken hinge and I just UPS’ed it to Nintendo to get it fixed, so I couldn’t play it even if it arrived.
But yeah – I’m looking forward to it arriving anyway.
I imported the first PW game during the time when you couldn’t find it in the US anymore, before they re-released it. I don’t know why there’s such a delay in releasing the US version of PW2 when the translation is already complete. I’m all for supporting the industry, but if they want me to wait until next year for a game that is already done, I’ll just go ahead and import.

I ordered it some time ago, and we got it yesterday, before the official japan street date ! My boyfriend is loving it, and the translation is great so far… There’s even a little comic at the end of the booklet, but no new content added. besides the ds touch interface
