Resident Evil basically invented the survival horror genre overnight. It was one of the main reasons behind the success of the PS1. Many developers have tried to recreate the magic behind the Resident Evil series, but few have succeeded. You can still feel the influence of this great series in many modern survival horror games. Any fan of the games should take a minute and read this, it’s quite good.

I’ve only played RE4 on the Gamecube, but that was, without a doubt, one of the best games I ever played. Everything seemed “just right” in that game.
