Saturday Morning Cartoons: Pac Man

Maybe I’m just quick to see patterns in things, but it seems like after having Saturday morning cartoons two weekends in a row that some folks might expect to have more today. Well fear not, for here’s your excuse to say in your mushroom-print skivvies for another half hour!
The year is 1982. Arcades can be found in nearly every mall and boardwalk across the country, and it’s amazing how intense Asteroids or Sinistar can get with just the right amount of acid. Just ask William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, who saw such nuance, just character, such jen a se qua in a single 8-bit demigod as to inspire their own cartoon opus: Pac Man. If you thought The Kwicky Koala Show or Monchhichis were weird, just wait until you see this.
For the entire episode, just make the jump. For more information about the Pac Man show (and evidence that we live in a world gone mad) click here.

Ah, getting through the day by popping a handful of pills. I can totally relate.
Je ne sais quoi.. moi non plus. Could swear Pac-Man has the same voice as Mario had in his 80s cartoon though. Think i’ll stick to that. Or Josie And The Pussycats. (The original, natch).
