SaySwap Online-Trading Community Launched

SaySwap reported today that it has used an investment from LiveUniverse to launch an online community devoted to trading video games between people online. According to their website:

We have created is a web platform that enables Gamers to get video games for a combination of Purchase Points and Trading Tokens. Any games that you get are owned by you. You can keep them, or at some point send them to another gamer for new Purchase Points so you can get another game.

Most Gamers have many video games that they own but no longer play, and many games that they would like to play but do not own. We help you to get rid of the games you no longer want in exchange for receiving Purchase Points. You can get new games by transferring Purchase Points to the Gamer sending their used videogame to you. You may never have to buy a video game again.

From what I’ve been able to gather, the system’s pretty sweet. Not only that, but you get a free 30 points (they equate it to a $30 value) when you register for their community. If you’re looking for some cheap games, I’d recommend you check them out.

Apparently you have to buy a “trading token” for every trade, but the price of such tokens is suspiciously omitted from the help page…

Actually, I just looked up the site, it looks really cool and i noticed that under the purchase page it tells you the trading tokens are $4.95 and that the first one is only $2.49. Looks like a sweet deal to me.
