This was originally found on College Humor’s website and it’s really quite hilarious. It focuses on two of the original Street Fighter characters and what their lives are like now. We received a lot of flack for including Zangief in our Top 20 Gayest Video Game Characters list, but one look at this video should convince you. I swear I saw that guy at The Eagle last weekend. (Isn’t it weird how every city seems to have a leather bar named The Eagle?)

Actually, according to official Capcom canon storylines for the Street Fighter characters, Zangief IS gay.
Can you cite that Shin? That is crazy! I would love to read it. What was the storyline? What is it about rough trade bear in collars, anyway?
I do wonder what “ol’ Crazy Legs” Chun-Li is up to these days.
It’s in the Tiamat Street Fighter plot guide, he confirms it with his sources. Search for “Zangief + gay” in the file, the relevant paragraph comes up.

If it helps any, I’m the actor who plays Zangief in the new online movie serial, “Street Fighter: The Later Years”. Not only do the two Japanese designers who created Zangief confirm that Zangief is gay, Capcom finally issued a statement some time ago that, as it’s been quoted to me, simply states, “Yes, Zangief is gay” (I always thought it was pretty obvious). It’s an honor to play him and I can’t wait to report back to work on the series later this month. Fruit Brute probably didn’t see me at the Eagle (unlike the vodka guzzling Zangief, I don’t drink) but he may have seen me marching in the NYC Gay Pride Parade as Drummer Bear (I do that every year).
well damn! when is the show gonna air again because it looks like it just dropped off the face of the earth!!
