Castlevania Movie Creeps Closer

We’ve heard dark whispers of this unholy project before, but it seems Universal Pictures and their genre label, Rogue, are moving forward on yet another gaming franchise that’s in the pipeline to be cinematized. Castlevania director/writer Paul W. S. Anderson, who birthed such films as Resident Evil and Alien vs Predator, has been scouting locations in Hungary and Romania – castle interiors will be shot in beautiful Budapest. Anderson hasn’t revealed much about his script except to say that the story takes place in 15th century Transylvania (shocker), although he did say, “You could almost call this movie Dracula Begins.”
All things being equal, I’d rather not.
Thanks to 2old2play for shining the light of day on this unliving story.

Truly, the scariest bit-o-Halloween this year.
PS: Why has everyone forgotten Enemy Zero as the scariest game ever?
