Dolce and Gabbana Mario Shirt
What the hell is Dolce and Gabbana doing selling a Nintendo shirt for $175? I’m pleased as punch that geek has gone chic, but honestly. What is anyone doing selling a T-SHIRT for a $175? It’s a T-Shirt. There isn’t much expert tailoring you can put into a t-shirt to warrant such a price. The print looks like an iron on at best.
Even though I have moral objections to purchasing such an expensive garment, I have to commend Nintendo for licensing their brand to Dolce and Gabbana. I don’t see PS3’s on Luis Vuitton, or Microsoft on Prada. It just reaffirms my belief, Nintendo is sexy, just not on that model.

Toots, I couldn’t agree more. It’s awful. I’ll need three in the Ivory, one in the Periwinkle, and an XXL in Blush Rose for…my…uh…dog. For my dog.

The shirt looks elastic, like some sort of rubber. The print also looks just plain awful. That’s the best Mario design they could think of?
eh…video game characters don’t really scream fashion to me. Unless it’s something funny/dirty from hot topic, like a shirt that says “Touch Mario’s Wii”. Now THAT is fashion!
And yeah, if they are gonna charge that much for a t-shirt could they at least get a decent graphic on it??
that guy should definitely take his shirt off. that graphic looks like it came straight out of a gaming magazine ad page, ughh so ugly!
That’s the look of, “I haven’t eaten in 3 days and I’m so high I forgot I’m wearing a shirt at all.”
I’m a little more Marshalls than D&G, but even I can see the tackiness inherent in that shirt. It looks like the same Mario graphic that they use on those motel “entertainment systems” that charge you 7 bucks an hour to play N64 games.
