'Ecco' And 'Golden' Shower Wii With Virtual Console Fun

Golden Axe and Ecco the Dolphin have hacked and splashed (respectively) their way onto the Wii’s Virtual Console today, bringing more early 90s love to the cutest little system around. Both originally Sega Genesis titles, 1989’s Golden Axe ate up our quarters and sucked us into the screen with its legendary fantasy hack ‘n’ slash action. Take your pick from the Warrior, Dwarf, or Maiden (maiden my Aunt Tiny, have you seen the size of her sword?) and slaughter bad guys until you win, die, or are asked for more quarters. Although if your Wii asks for spare change, you might consider seeking professional help.
Ecco the Dolphin set a different pace when it was released in 1993, giving the player control over (duh) a pretty little dolphin named (duh) Ecco, who, you know, swam around the pretty ocean and did pretty things. The game got a mixed reaction from some who thought all that dolphininess and prettiness was, well, stupid – but those of us who felt otherwise loved the zen feel and the marine environment. The solid adventure gameplay didn’t hurt, either. Ramming stuff with your snout is always fun…just ask Fruit Brute. Or maybe it’s just the sea in my blood, calling to me…always calling…
Enjoy the games, gang. I’ll be sailing hard into the storm, calling up Davey Jones to pay me debt with all the courage a keg o’ grog can muster!

All I saw was Golden Shower in the title; I thought it might get a freaky with the dolphin and all, but then the article took a completely different direction.
LOL
LMAO, I agree Leafy, the use of the words “Golden” and “Shower” in such close proximity was nothing but a dirty trick. Tiny Dancer – you are all talk and no action!!!!
My stars, you people have filthy minds! Why, I would never, would I?
Did I catch a Bette Midler shiver me timbers reference in there?
what a great title – tiny made filthy little me read the complete article.
it reminded me that i should play that dreamcast ecco again…
Fruit Brute and I played Ecco on my Genesis back in the day.
I just.. I got nothing. LOLLLL.
Naughty eehehehehehehehehehheheh
Man even though Ecco the Dolphin may be part of the Earth Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrance_and_Phillip:_Behind_the_Blow) conspiracy, it was still a fun game to play… even though I am not a fan of the dolphin theme.
