Gears Of War End Credits Get Krunk
Wow. Don’t let the pasty-faced suburban white boy gangsta game developer near the jukebox, I guess, would be the take-away message from this one. Direct from the new home of Ms. Eliza Gauger at Game|Life, who in regards to this video so very appropriately quotes some guy named StickyPig: “It’s like saving the world, and being rewarded with a ‘hip-hop’ fart to the face.” Not again.

Could be worse, could be Godsmack like in POP2
The song only uses lines that he said throughout the game. And come on! Terry Tate Office linebacker plays a great Cole Train.
It’s an amusing easter egg, not an artistic statement.
I like it, damn it all.
It can’t be any more out of place than using the “Mad World” cover by Gary Jules. That’d be like using Lamb of God to advertise a mario game about counting.
That version of “Mad World” makes anything seem cinematically tragic, though, especially if it’s in slow motion.
Seriously, try it. Take some video of your cat pooping in the litterbox, or someone mowing the lawn, or even some pr0n, and run it in slow motion with “Mad World” under it. Extra points if you make it grainy and black and white.
So running it under “Gears of War” footage makes the audience feel like they’re seeing some kind of epic story with emotional resonance. Mission accomplished…
You make it seem bad. Before it at the start of the credits they had great music on that fit the tone of the story. Then it moved to that song, was actually pretty funny. That’s also Cole, you know, the character you play with that is actually based off a real person.

Mad World is the perfect song for GEARS OF WAR it is sad and goes great with the story most games theme songs suck ass including Halo2,Doom3,and Saints Row which has to many Fucking songs I cant keep track
