Kid Robot Sells Sick Fun To Everyone

Earlier today I was traipsing through the streets of SoHo, surrounded by my handlers (who, it should not go unmentioned, were kind enough to carry several dozen of my shopping bags), when I saw the most wonderful storefront. Kid Robot was filled with all kinds of toys, clothes, and artwork of a decidedly twisted bent. When my manager arranged to close down Prince Street so that I might browse, you know, maybe a light impulse purchase here and there…and there…I was blown away. Everything seemed so cutesy until one looked closer: then it was adult-themed toy fun for everyone, just like the “Smorkin’ Labbit” pictured above, one of a legion of discordian furballs created by artist Frank Kozik. After my agent paid for a small legion of tchotchkes and doodles, I had my afternoon stylist pick up a card so I could pass on some wicked, pretty things to any of you who are down with the sickness. Check out their site to browse the gallery or do some impulse shopping of your own.

Up here in Canada we have a similar store called Magic Pony
I love Kid Robot. They closed the one on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica… waiting for them to open their new location on Melrose.
Toy Tokyo by St Marks (NYC) is a fun place.
