MicroCenter Deal: $100 off Xbox 360
Before you drive yourself into hysterics over the PS3 launch, consider a 360. From what we’ve seen so far, the graphics are comparable, and it’s tremendously cheaper than that PS3 thing. If you head over to Microcenter, they are offering $100 off any Xbox 360 system. How about a Core system for $200 or a Premium for $300? Sounds really nice. The offer has begun and lasts until December 3rd, or when they run out of supplies.

dude. are nintendo and microsoft endorsing you guys to hate sony with every fiber of your being? that’s a great deal but i haven’t seen one mention on your site about sony that wasn’t bitchy and with a “look what them morons done now” attitude. it’s good to be skeptical but you guys take it to a whole new level…it turns me way off.
What Sony is doing with their launch is doing is absolutely ridiculous. That’s a fact. If you don’t want to accept that, fine, but don’t expect anyone else to.
That is a good deal. Too bad “Dead Rising” is the only game on the 360 I have even the slightest interest in playing…
Too bad for me, I purchased my 360 late spring. I tried the Dead Rising demo but got turned off by the timed levels.
But I love Oblivion, whored out on Burnout: Revenge, and waiting for Gears of War to arrive in my mail. Also seriously awaiting Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Alan Wake. w00t.
I don’t do rebates, but this is a good deal.
As for the alleged bias, I think Sony is doing a great job of getting game journalists, and gamers in general, to “hate sony with every fiber of [their] being”.
It’s gotta be tough to be a Sony fan right now, seeing vast Wii60 conspiracies everywhere you look. It reminds me of how Republicans were acting for the first 5 days of November. “We’re not going to lose…. you media types are all a bunch of liberals conspiring against us!”
But, the launch will be over soon and then the real test happens…. the dead zone between launch and the second wave of games. Killed the Gamecube, and it’ll make or break the Wii and PS3.
egh, most sony fans have accepted the reality of the situation…just like a lot of xbox fans did during the 360 launch…which had shortages and crappy launch titles and hardware problems, etc. yeah, there aren’t enough units, yeah there are some software problems…but are you that surprised? i’m not…after watching the 360 launch, it’s the same shit. problems will get fixed, there will be more units…it’s about the promise of the system which is undeniably a great piece of hardware…and i’ve never been disappointed by my ps2 games.
and yes…it’s expensive, you’ve known it was going to be expensive for how many months? stop bitching about it…it’s more than a gaming system.
