Microsoft Cracks Down On Damn Dirty Cheaters

Before today, I had absolutely no idea it was actually possible to cheat in order to bump up a gamerscore via Xbox Live. I knew one could pay to have others improve your score, but it apparently goes way further than that: one could actually download saved games from websites to unlock bonuses and gamerpoints of impossible feats (such as getting all 1000 points in Oblivion in one foul swoop).

Well, tough luck for all you gamers who feel they need to do anything in order to look good for the Live Community. Exactly what Microsoft is doing to block cheating hasn’t been explained, but Mygamercard.net is helping out bycreating a complicated algorithm to detect cheaters. Whether or not the algorithm will brick these cheaters’ 360s hasn’t been explained, but I’d imagine that Microsoft has some sort of penalty in mind for those they catch modding their scores.

Cheating is bad, mmmkay?

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
