No Wireless Love For Guitar Hero 360

Amateur rockers the world over were thrilled when it was announced last week that Red Octane would be producing their own wireless guitars just in time for the release of Guitar Hero II on PS2. I’m sure we all just assumed they would also be available for the XBox 360 version as well. That’s where we were all dead wrong.
It seems that Microsoft has taken a proprietary stance on their wireless controllers (surprise, surprise) and Red Octane is not allowed to create them for all you 360 owners who were hoping to rock out wire-free. While it’s not impossible that we might see them in the future, for now, your out of luck.
In other Guitar Hero news, Dave “I’ll come to the opening of an envelope” Navarro has been tapped to promote Guitar Hero II when it launches at the West LA Best Buy on November 7th.
And finally, if you haven’t played Guitar Hero, I simply INSIST that you try it NOW. For your own good TRY IT. It’s really an amazingly fun game that will get you off the couch and playing a good three weeks before the Wii will attempt to do the same! GO TRY IT NOW!

Man, Dave Navarro will tongue-kiss anything.
Speaking of which, a once-cool local music store who showed its true colors when it stopped carrying Guitar magazine 11 years ago for its “sick” cover photo of Dave Navarro and Flea kissing…. announced they were closing down this past week, so that its owner could concentrate more fully on his Christian ministry. I’d like to think that my constant badmouthing of their store over the last 10 years might have had some effect, but seeing as how I know like 3 people in the entire local music scene, I think it’s really online music stores, ebay, and lap-pop that did it.
One down, way too many to go.
