PS3 Lines Have Formed All Around New Orleans
If there is one thing the people of New Orleans are, they are resilient, and know how to party it up. Even in the midst of rebuilding, they find the time to wait in the cold, stormy weather of the early fall. After running an errand for the b/f, last night, I decided to swing by two Best Buys, a Circuit City and a Wal-Mart close to my neighborhood. I also managed to get some shots of the Wii display in one of the Best Buys. While I stopped at all of these places, I asked the people what they intended to do with their PS3s, all…and I mean ALL but one said they were selling it. Of the 6 people waiting at my local Wal-Mart, the one who said he’d keep it was there, and was subsequently ridiculed for it. The various people at these different stores informed me there were lines at Target, as well. No lines in front of CompUSA, yet.
I will still attempt to walk into my local Wal-Mart in the illustrious Warehouse District and try to pick one up on my way into work. I will then decide what I will do with it…keep and put it in a closet until something worth a damn comes out for it? or sell it and put the profit down on my car note and be a few months ahead of schedule in paying it off? Which is more likely to happen? Neither, as it is likely that there won’t be a PS3 available, but we’ll see.

Finally, on my way home, Wal-Mart. The people here were really nice and man are they brave to wait there, I sure wouldn’t!

Wow…I admit, it’s nice to see some of the festivities for the PS3 launch, particularly in the Metairie area. To think, I was at a Wal-mart over here on Behrman, and didn’t even think to see if it had a line for the units. Dangit.
I wonder if any stores are gonna see campers for the Wii though, or if they’re just gonna try their hand at coming early for launch day.
