PS-To-PSP Games Priced And Sized

Play me! Buy a PS3 and then play me!

Moving ahead in the it’d-be-awesome-if-it-works-right tango of bringing original PSX titles to the PSP, Sony revealed today the pricing structure for buying and downloading games. PS-to-PSP titles will range from $5.99 to $10.99 with file sizes clocking in at anywhere from 140mb to 550mb. So if you haven’t bothered to upgrade your PSP’s Memory Stick Duo and want to play Diablo and maybe even Final Fantasy VII on your PSP…or even BishiBashi Special, now would be the time.

Time-ish, anyway, since you’ll need a PS3 to download the games in the first place.

Sony voicebox Phil Harrison announced his company’s intention to have the first string of glistening old-school pearls shot out to the PlayStation Store by the end of the year. If I only had the necessary equipment I’d line up for that money shot faster than you can blink – but, alas, I’ll have to sell a few more black market kidneys before I can even start to think about a PS3.

Okay, so having a PSP isn’t enough- I need a PS3 to play old school games? And if I am one of the lucky few to have a PS3 and I didn’t have a PSP as well I probably couldn’t do it either, right? I’d rather hunt the old disks down.
