Square Enix Ships 1.5 Million Chocobos

I lied. But you really should have known better: chocobos aren’t real…they aren’t even reality-adjacent. What did happen was that Square Enix set a new record for itself with its first attempt at a street-dated title by shipping out a huge, throbbing, glistening load of Final Fantasy XII on October 31 – 1.5 million copies, to be specific. Sony, hearken to this tune: 1.5 million anything is a good day, and y’all best start churnin’ out them diodes right quick. Meanwhile in Final Fantasy XII land, whether you love the new battle system or feel betrayed on so deep a level that you’ll never be the same again OMG WTF, at least you can get your grubby little hands on the thing.

What is it with the “shipped” number. I read this article twice before I realized there weren’t sales numbers….
Oh well, I bought one. Love it.
Square’s using it more as an indication of how popular the series has become and how anticipated the current title is.
I also got some of that glistening FFXII load all over me. I’m still trying to get through it all.
I have yet to feel that huge, throbbing, glistening load but will go tonight to get some on me
Aw, I thought this was news about Chocobo and the Magic Picture book…
(there’s a whole bunch of new stuff at the site- have you noticed? I will buy the game and have only myself to blame for rotting of teeth)
I’ll be passing on it, myself, thanks.
