Wii Virtual Titles Confirmed!

Earlier today our own delightful Kid Future posted the full list of Wii launch titles, which was great if a little heavy on the franchises (show me a launch line-up that doesn’t have its share of fluff and hype), but thanks to Nintendo’s Virtual Console we won’t have to wait a whole development cycle or three to play super games. IGN has slapped up a list of no fewer than 30 confirmed Virtual Console titles that Nintendo of America announced will be available for the Wii within the first five weeks after launch.

I am really excited to see titles like Solomon’s Key on there. This means that Nintendo is going to be releasing more than just the most popular games. Gives me hope about being able to play stuff like Earthbound and such in the future.
New Zelda + Old Zelda = One Helluvalot of Zelda
I’m glad that Nintendo isn’t stealing the show with the VC. Letting Sega, Hudson, and (in Japan) Konami take center stage is hopefully going to show publishers can expect from VC sales.
Definitely looking for Majora’s Mask, that one would be swell~
As would Perfect Dark, but the bitch seems AWOL for Nintendo…
I don’t know about anyone else…but this monkey is thinking freezing is a good idea… let’s just hope there’s not a war~
perfect dark, along with goldeneye, are ips owned by rare, which microsoft has by the short hairs these days. So I highly doubt we will ever see either of those games on the VC.
