Xbox 360 Price Cuts On The Way?

So it seems that the Xbox 360 may be getting cheaper in the semi-near future. Well, let’s be honest, this isn’t really that big a surprise, since consoles always become cheaper eventually. However, Microsoft is apparently considering for this to happen sooner rather than later… exactly why they’re considering this so close after the PS3’s launch (since it costs $100-200 more than the 360) may seem a little odd, but:
Nevertheless, it seems the time is drawing nigh, as Microsoft’s own Robbie Bach has stated that bringing down the costs associated with the console is “the first order of business.” He also boasts about the 360’s “larger installed base,” and claims that its “fundamentally easier to manage on costs,” insinuating that those price reductions would soon be passed onto the consumer as the Xbox 360 hits its second holiday season in full stride.
Bear in mind, this is nothing concrete, but the fact that Robbie is openly discussing price reductions bears a lot of promise. Me, though? I’m waiting for them to reduce the price of those HD-DVD drives.

Is it strange that I find Robbie Bach cute in that picture?
It’s a very flattering picture.
Microsoft should absolutely hammer home their advantage while they have it. While Sony are still busy raping enthusiasts, Microsoft should basically be saying “here’s a year’s library of games that have already reviewed wonderfully, wouldn’t you like a piece of this for the low low price of really cheap? Or, you know, you could get that other really expensive console with a single noteworthy title so far.”
I expect to see more Gears bundles in the next few weeks that make it a no brainer.
Oh and Robbie looks cute because of the huge 360 shaped erection he’s sporting there. Natch!
I kinda hope they don’t drop the price too soon… I just bought one!
I’d like to buy one as soon as possible, but nor before a pricedrop.
So I’m crossing my fingers for a December price drop.
I’d get one if it went down $100.
Microsoft would be smart to do this. Very few people would buy a $600 Playstation over a $300 Xbox just to be able to play Blu-Ray discs.
And yeah that guy in the pciture is cute.
it’s definitely a flattering picture because i googled him…and yeah…
