A Wii Christmas Treat
I just had a lovely missive dropped in my mail slot by lovely reader Kara!
Every Monday means new Virtual Console games for the Wii, and Christmas, being on a Monday, will be no different. It seems that Nintendo is offering a special treat on Christmas day for all you Wii owners out there. They will be gracing our Wii Shop Channel with none other than Super Mario Bros. for a mere 500 Wii Points! Other titles out that day include:
• Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (800 Wii Points)
• Super Castlevania IV (800 Wii Points)
• Toe Jam & Earl (800 Wii Points)
• R-TYPE (800 Wii Points)
Now, that’s what I call a sweet Christmas! Thanks, Kara!

Toe Jam AND Mario on Xmas? call me crazy, but that’s just genius. i mean, how many people around the world are going to be asking for wii points? the downloads are going to go through the roof.
only thing that would make this sweeter is if they released Duck Hunt on Jan. 1. i can dream!
I must say it’s nice to finally see some Nintendo games on the VC list worth downloading.
Ugh. 800 points for R-Type? I really hate the price gouging Nintendo has going on, and hate myself even more for going along with it.

Very nice selection in this update…by the time I get a Wii, I’m going to have about $50 in VirtualConsole games alone I’ll want to buy…
I think I’m gonna get a Wii for birthday, that’d be like, totally awesome. Even though we’ll probably have a different choice of VC games in the old country… SF2 ftw! R-Type ftw (was one of my first SNES games and I lovsed it!)
