Ar Tonelico: Melody Of Elemia Trailer

Holy sacred crap, how did I not know about this game? Atelier developer Gust is working on a new RPG with what looks to be sweet anime FMVs (hopefully plenty of them…tiny hates it when games are stingy with the pretties) as well as neato party-based combat that looks fun and sprite-y, perhaps reminiscent of the old-school RPGs any decent RPG dork remembers wistfully. (Not unlike Atelier Iris 2: The Azoth of Destiny, come to think of it…)

The premise, so far as I can tell from the trailer, runs thus: “Our story begins with an adventure loving young man and a girl who uses songs as magic.” Ok, I’ll give it a shot. Where’s the karaoke machine, I’ll show you magic…

The name is dumb as hell, but check out the footage and let us know what you think.
