BSG RPG: Edward James Olmos Is A Level 17 Bad*ss
Ok, Battlestar Galactica fans, get out your adult sanitary napkins and prepare for a dorkgasm: BSG is coming to the world of RPGs. Pen and Paper RPGs. I’d previously said I’d never pick up an irregularly-shaped die again unless Dame Judi Dench herself was rolling a Dwarven Illusionist beside me, and Vin Diesel perched on my knee.
But years have passed; I’m now embarrassed by my former infatuation with Mr. Diesel, and Dame Judi never turned up. So it is with massive enthusiasm that I great the new BSG campaign, penned by Dragonlance Chronicles co-author Margaret Weiss. She’s more than kinda cheesy, I will admit, but she knows her game. Like the show, the role playing game book is set in space and will focus on the challenges of survival in exceedingly trying times — and the difficult choices that must be made. The core product, the Battlestar Galactica Role Playing Game, is a self-contained game product using the same game system as the best-selling and award-winning Serenity Role Playing Game (also produced by Margaret Weis Productions). The game book will be a full-color hardcover book featuring still images from the series as well as original artwork. It will provide rules for play, character creation, and information about the ship and crew of Galactica as well as the other main characters from the show. A Quickstart Guide will be released in early 2007 with the core product premiering in the spring. Additional products will closely follow the release of the core product. The entire line will be supported by an interactive website.

ya know, if that pic weren’t there, i wouldnt have read this….thing. so now im saying, from now on, put pictures of really hott guys on every single little excerpt, and maybe i will read them. maybe. and i soo agree, BODY: BANGIN!
The problem with an RPG like this is sitting there trying to play, looking around the table and realizing, “Hey, none of these people look at ALL like Jamie Bamber…. I’d even settle for a James Callis….”
When i first read this i thought you were talking about the BSG Online game they are making for the 360.
I really wish they hadn’t made Apollo such a god damned sissy this season. Where’s the tragic hunk of beef they were building last season? I’d have climbed mountains and dived oceans to find a way to have that guy’s babies.
Now he’s just hot.
I personally love the “forbidden love” thing between him and Starbuck. But I may be biased, because on the very same night the boxing episode aired (and before I had seen it,) I was in bed with someone and I whispered “I’ve missed you,” and then seeing Apollo do the same thing after getting the crap beat out of him by a girl made me feel like a total stud.
Starbuck, however, needs more cigars and less angst…. stat! “I took a vow”?! WTF?! She was the ballsy chick a gay guy could love and now she’s just a little bitch.
