Free Oblivion Content From Now Until Dec. 31
OK, that may sound a bit misleading. The only content that Bethesda Softworks will be making free for the 360 version of Oblivion is Mehrune’s Razor, which normally costs 250 points. Here’s what the release said:

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve worked with the good folks at Xbox Live to give away one of our most popular downloads for Oblivion – Mehrunes Razor – for a limited period of time. Starting this Friday, Dec. 22, Xbox 360 gamers will be able to download Mehrunes Razor for free. This offer is only for a limited time…from Dec. 22 to Dec. 31. On Monday, Jan. 1 it will go back to its standard price.
I’ve never downloaded anything extra for Oblivion on the 360 – yet. Looks like I’ll be doing it when I go home this afternoon. Have any of you ever downloaded the extra quests, before? I’m curious to know what you think of them.

Nicely done. Some people got shafted for content that’s free on the PC version of the game – and now everybody who didn’t pay for it gets to download it for free and laugh their asses off.
Way to promote microtransactions…

Do you have to have an Oblivion save on your system before you can download this?
Also, I hate microtransactions.
Boo, I paid for it on the PC. >.>;;; D’oh, and I still think that all the PC ones are still being paid for, boo-urns.
As for the quest itself, its the longest downloadable quest, thats a certain, and the Razor knife itself is nice, with a chance of killing in a single hit.
