Gripshift Coming To PS3
I was never a huge fan of Gripshift for the PSP. Don’t get me wrong: it had some great visuals and promising ideas, but the controls drove me nuts and I just didn’t feel the thrill of the racing games I’ve come to enjoy. I know I wasn’t the only person who felt this way, since the reviews for Gripshift were all across the board.
However, it looks like Sony thinks the game is good enough to make it available for download via its online store for the PS3. This won’t be a straight port of a PSP title, though. For $10, Gripshift will come with improved graphics (playable up to 720p) and support for 4 players. One of my big complaints about the game was the lack of an extra thumbstick to help with gameplay, so hopefully the PS3’s controller (as well as the ability to turn it into a potentially great party game) will make it a lot more fun.
