In Memoriam: James Kim
I’m sure by now most of you have heard about James Kim, the CNET Tech writer and former Tech TV personality and his missing family. His wife and two young children were found alive two days ago stranded in a car in the snow-covered Oregon mountains and brought to safety; unfortunately, Kim was not with them.
Authorities continued looking for Kim and even dropped packages of food and supplies in the area in which he was believed to have been headed, trying to find help for his snowbound family. Sadly, Kim was found dead yesterday, victim of extreme hypothermia. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife, children and the rest of his family as they cope with this tragedy. This man was a truly a great father who passed on while trying to save his loved ones. He will be missed. Rest in peace, James.

That was really nice, guys.
Our thoughts are with James Kim’s family and friends at CNet… Maybe it’s the weird warping effect of the internet, but this was without a doubt the saddest, most unfortunate story of the season around here. I read James’ MP3 column regularly and was always impressed by his honest perspective and the quality of his writing. He was one of the best and he most certainly will be missed.
I had no idea whom everyone was mourning until I saw his picture and suddenly remembered James Kim’s segment on the Screen Savers.
He seemed to be a good guy, and my heart goes out to his family.
i remember him from the screen savers show, everytime he would review cameras or printers, he would have pictures of his baby…..he was a nice guy….my thoughts go to his family
