Map Your Wii, Find Wii Friends, See Planet
Merry Christmas, gay gamers & friends! Is your Wii lonely? Do the four walls that surround you like a gorgeous stucco prison keep you isolated from other, potentially fabulous Wiismonauts…er, Wiisketeers…um, Wiitards? Anyway, are you alone in your Wii world, or at least have room for more semi-social Wii fun?
Both MapWii and MiiPages can hook you up, let you hook yourself up, or allow you to browse and add potential Wii pals. MapWii slaps a Google Maps feature on their bad boy, letting you sit and spin the globe to your heart’s content while seeing the planetary distribution of registered Wiis (speaking of which, it’s about time to signal the Mothership and launch the invasion – don’t let me forget).
MiiPages seems a little farther along, but lacks the neat interface and simplicity of MapWii: it lists Wii players by country (1495 MiiPages-registered Wiis in the United States, as of today) and lets you search alphabetically for registered Miis as well.
