Metal Gear Mario?!
Sometimes something happens that is so right on, so perfect, that it feels like it’s always existed, even as you know it’s the first time you’ve ever seen it. This is one of those things.
The dungeon music from Super Mario Bros. is strangely appropriate to Snake and his elements of stealth, and seeing (ahem) Big Snake in the level design works in an odd way too.
It’s tempting to have a quick laugh and stop the movie before it ends, but believe me, you’ll want to watch it to the end. I can only hope Metal Gear Solid 4 is as epic.
Poor, troubled, sexy Snake.
