Michigan Pays Out Some Legal Fees

Michigan Judge George Caram Steeh ruled that the state of Michigan is required to reimburse the game industry $182,000 for legal battles regarding the sale of violent video games to minors. The legislation was found unconstitutional since it infringed on First Amendment rights.
The Entertainment Software Association is compiling a list of similar cases across the country. Illinois has to pay $510K, Washington State $344K, St. Louis $180K, and Indianapolis $318K.
Judge Steeh quashed the Michigan law in April, by claiming it was “discriminating against a disfavored ‘newcomer’ in the world of entertainment media.”

I wish it could come from the morons who decided to waste tax payer money by discriminating against video games. I doubt this is going to teach them a lesson.
